What is visa?
Visa to Russia (Russian visa) — is an entry permit to Russia issued by authorized body (Russian embassy, Consular department, Visa Application Centre or other authorized body).
Foreigners can come to Russia and depart the country only having visa.
The visa is a stamped endorsement made in the passport.
For visa forming you need to apply to the Russian embassy, consular department, Visa Application Centre or other authorized body that is responsible for visa forming. There you need to specify the list of the documents you have to gather and bring to the authorized body. Besides many Visa Application Centers require to complete application form ONLINE.
Your first consideration when getting a Russian visa should be the type of visa you want to apply for. Most of the people get a tourist visa, because it allows one to stay in Russia up to 30 days. However, if you need to stay longer or travel to Russia several times, then getting a business visa may be a better choice.
